Welcome to the Region XII Website!

Region XII members, Arabian Horse lovers, horse enthusiasts of every persuasion, and web browsers are all encouraged to familiarize themselves with this site.

At thirty plus great years and counting, Region XII is proud of its history and of the part it plays in the larger Arabian industry.  Region XII encompasses the largest geographic region in AHA, ranging down the eastern coast of North Carolina to Florida and from Tennessee to Mississippi on the Gulf Coast.  The other states are Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina.  Our region has the largest membership of any region.  Region XII also hosts several of the premier Arabian horse shows in the nation.

We have many exciting activities planned for this year. The Region XII show is in Perry, Georgia in May.  Perry is located south of Atlanta.  This show is one of the best-run venues for featuring Arabians, Half-Arabians, and Anglo-Arabians.  This show is exceptionally exhibitor friendly, welcoming owners, trainers, and horses from all over the United States and abroad. 

Held in conjunction with the Region XII May show will be the Spotlight Stallion Futurity auction and futurity classes.  The auction is a gala event giving you the opportunity to bid on breedings from premiere stallions.  

Region XII also sponsors a week-long Youth Jamboree in July of each year.  As the name indicates, only juniors are allowed to compete:  this show includes basic horsemanship, seminars, judging competitions, as well as a variety of other educational friendly and fun activities.

The Region XII Endurance Challenge will be held in Chester, Georgia in March.  Three rides include 55 mile Endurance, 100 mile Endurance, and 30 mile Competitive Trail.

The purpose of the Region XII Website is multifold:  (1) for Region XII members, the website will provide easy access to area activities and business affairs; (2) for Arabian owners, breeders, and trainers, the site will provide access to show schedules, prize lists, and futurity forms and information; and (3) for horsemen of every persuasion, the Region XII Forum will provide an introduction to the Arabian horse and to the array of activities to those who own these magnificent animals.

And new this year, a newsletter will be published monthly and transmitted electronically providing our members with current information on events within our region.
