November 24 20 07 AHA Region XII held their "off site" 100 Mile Endurance Championship ride on the Whitehaven Plantation in Bishopville, SC, in conjunction with the Carolina Ride (AERC). It was a fantastic day for riding. There were 11 purebred entries and two half-arabian entries. After a long run, the three top horses (in both the AERC and AHA rides). Since tying is not an option in AHA competition, Steve Rojek (being the Southern Gentleman that he is) elected to accept Purebred Reserve Championship, leaving co-winners Christina Phillips as Champion Purebred and Jan Worthington as Champion Half-Arabian. AHA Region XII would like to thank J.D. Fountain for allowing the Region to co-exist with his ride, and the Martha and David Lucas of Whitehaven Plantation for their gracious hospitality.
