A Message from Meg Daughton

Dear Region XII Members,
My name is Meg Daughton, and I am honored to be the 2011 Region 12 Youth Director. I am currently a senior at Providence Grove High School in Climax, NC. After graduation I plan to attend NC State University in the fall to pursue a degree in Agricultural Business Management. I’ve always had a love for horses, in particular the Arabian horse. My family and I own several Arabians and Half Arabians that we show and use for pleasure riding. I train with Rob Bick and Caralyn Schroter at RBC Show Horses in Smithfield, NC; I have competed successfully at the local, regional and national levels, primarily in the hunter pleasure, but also in hunt seat equitation and showmanship divisions.
As your new Youth Director I would like to renew participation and enthusiasm in our youth. I have many new and exciting plans for the upcoming year that I would like all Region 12 Youth members to participate in and enjoy. I am currently in the process of creating a Facebook page and an updated email list in order to keep everyone informed about current events. Once again, I am honored to represent the Region 12 youth and invite you to join in the fun. If you have any questions or ideas for improving our programs, please feel free to e-mail me at perfectmickey@yahoo.com.
Thank You,
Meg Daughton
